What each tier includes, in plain English
Free — the self-hosted CLI
The v0.1 CLI is free and always will be. Install with
npm i -g flipscout, drop your name/email/phone/ZIP
into config.local.json, and run
flipscout scan. The scoring, the KBB spread, the
red-flag ladder, the HTML report — all free. What Free doesn't
include is the hosted 15-min refresh, cross-device alerts,
metered Algo credits, and the account-level audit log. If those
matter to you, Pro is the tier.
Pro — the working flipper's tier
$29/mo for one seat, unlimited saved searches, 15-minute refresh
on our servers, and ten Algo floor-quote credits/mo included.
A credit is one quote submission — one real lead
into Auto Lenders' CRM. Overage is metered at $2/credit through
Stripe. Every credit spend is written to your per-account audit
log with a timestamp, the VIN, the last-4 of the submitted
phone, and a hash of the Algo disclaimer text you consented to
(the same fields the CLI writes to data/leads.jsonl).
Pro also enforces two per-account rate limits that the CLI only implements in v0.2:
- 10 lead submissions per day, 30 per week — keyed on your account email + phone hash.
- Per-VIN 30-day cool-down — the same VIN can't be re-quoted within 30 days without an explicit re-quote confirmation.
These aren't courtesy limits. They exist because bot-farm-shaped lead patterns invite fraud counter-claims from Algo, and because repeatedly ringing the same seller's phone reads as harassment under state mini-TCPAs.
Shop — small-independent-dealer tier
$99/mo for three seats, 3-min refresh, unlimited Algo floors (still capped per legal), CSV and JSON API export, and multi-metro (one saved search per metro per seat). Aimed at the ~64,000 US licensed independent dealers who move fewer than 50 cars/year and need something faster than a spreadsheet without paying $750+/mo for a full DMS/CRM.
What's not included at any tier
- Any automated submission to Carvana, CarMax, KBB ICO, or Peddle — those platforms require the submitter to hold title, and automating them is fraud. See acceptable use.
- Facebook Marketplace scraping as a hosted service.
- Craigslist scraping as a hosted service.
- Cox-property (Autotrader / KBB) scraping as a hosted service — hosted Pro / Shop uses licensed FSBO data.
- Batch modes tuned to help you evade state dealer-license caps.
Refunds, cancellations, upgrades
Cancel from your account settings; access ends at the end of the current billing period. If you cancel within 14 days of first paying and used ≤3 Algo credits, email support@flipscout.dev for a full refund — no forms. Upgrades and downgrades take effect on the next Stripe invoice.
